July 2010 Club Events

Club Meeting: Wednesday, July 14th 7:00 PM

Our speaker for July will be Jack Houck. Jack fishes full time and works part time at the Orvis store in Scottsdale. We get a lot of requests from members who want to hear him talk about local fishing. Jack will be doing a presentation that will cover fishing the rim lakes along with information on fishing for pike at Ashurst Lake. This will be just in time for our July Ashurst outing. So whether you are after trout or pike, there will be something for everyone. See you there!

Club Outing: July 23rd - 25th Ashurst Lake

Fishing: Northern Pike and Stocked Rainbow Trout. Pike Flies and standard Arizona Trout flies will work. Last year we were catching trout on olive damsel nymph patterns and olive woolly buggers.
Last year we had a blast here. It's a great opportunity to get out of the broiler the Valley becomes during the middle of the summer.
